I am looking into a trip to my homeland - I want to share the beauty of the north with as many as possible. My rough plan is to book a scout station that I know well (pub not too far away(oh the memories of my Venture days)) From here we can climb Munroe's, climb, abseil, canoe, sail, potter, pony trek, relax, eat & drink. I am sure it will have something for everyone! The place can take about 80 so can be pricey (although not as pricey as renting a cottage! the down fall is that we can not get it in the school hols as it is owned by an English Scout County who block book all the English school hols I am looking to go a week in May or June (I originally though about inviting explorers too to keep cost down!) What are you thoughts? [when I say pricey it is only £100 a day min! £5 pppn otherwise!] Alternatives are to go hosteling???
sounds great to me........... personally like the idea if sailing, canoeing, relaxing & of course dinking!! - i'll stop looking for that beach hol for next year then and have this as my summer hol!!!!!! i'm sure we can manage sun, sangrea ect (with a bit of imagination)!!!!!!
uuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm i can picture it now....................
